On her 15th birthday Kagome fell in the bone eaters well bringing her 500 years in the past meeting a half demon named Inuyasha and broke the sikon jewels and turning it to shards. Now kagome and inuyasha travel to find the shards and defeat Naraku.

shippo orpahaned by the thunder brothers he inuyasha & gang. inuyasha defeats them & shippo with nothing travels with him, but is more fond of Kagome.
